| Description | In the subproject “Megaliths and Settlement Structures in Eastern Holstein during 3500-2700 BC: Middle Trave Valley and Western Oldenburger Graben” within the scope of the DFG priority program SPP 1400 “Early Monumentality and Social Differentiation: On the origin and development of Neolithic large-scale buildings and the emergence of early complex societies in Northern Central Europe”, field research was performed from 2009-2014 in the area of the settlements of Oldenburg-Dannau LA 77 and Bad Oldesloe-Wolkenwehe LA 154 and at the burial site Wangles LA 69. These excavations are the fundament of the reconstruction of the settlement and burial landscape in the small regions of the Western Oldenburger Graben and the Middle Trave Valley in Northern Germany. | |
